Signs of economic recovery remain mixed

ADA, Inpulse and the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation joined forces in 2020 to monitor and analyse the effects of the COVID-19 crisis on their partner microfinance institutions around the world. This monitoring was carried out periodically throughout 2020 to gain a better insight into how the crisis has developed internationally. This work has been extended into 2021, on a quarterly basis. The conclusions presented in this article and written by the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation follow the second quarter of 2021.

ADA listens to its MFI partners, MFIs listen to their clients to better respond to the COVID-19 crisis

ADA, the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation and Inpulse release a report summarising the results from a joint survey initiative conducted among their partner MFIs during the crisis. In addition, ADA is publishing a summary of the surveys conducted among the clients of its partner MFIs and networks and the measures taken as a result to better meet their needs.

Persistent credit risk : a threat to the solvency of microfinance institutions ?

This April 2021 survey was conducted by ADA and the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation, with Inpulse joining the initiative every other month.

The slowdown in economic activity linked to the COVID-19 health crisis has plunged many countries into recession and, as a result, is undermining the financial stability of microfinance institutions.

In this context, ADA has launched a response programme to help its partners get through the crisis and ensure the continuity of their activities.
