Testimonials of participants

“Very inspiring course that has enriched my skills and knowledge in risk management. Good course for all senior managers, CEOs, internal audit heads, risk managers, operation managers, etc. All categories of senior staff following the three lines of defence should be given an opportunity to attend this course.”

Mr Charles Isingoma, General Manager, Hofokam Ltd., Uganda

“I was managing my institution mostly on solid passion without looking at the level of risk embedded within it. I now understand the importance of encouraging and implementing a risk culture within my institution and my first step is to create a RM department in its full sense.”

Mr K. Paul Thomas, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, ESAF Microfinance & Investments, India

“We realize that having Risk Management Unit in an organization is very important. We will now recommend it to the board.”

Mrs Lourdes Dijan, Vice President for Finance, CARD Bank Inc., Philippines

Testimonials of experts

“At the heart of every MFI CEO and freshly appointed Risk Managers' natural questioning on the usefulness and contents of a sound risk management function, the coaching approach has proven to be The best approach to then create Their best practices. No mirroring of common practices, but creating their own way and own success.”

Mr Samuel Grand

“A long-week training session, at which best risk management practices from the international banking sector are adapted, transformed and transferred into practical strategies and tactics for risk management in microfinance. Extensive discussions on practical risk management issues of concern of participants bring productive exchanges and knowledge sharing between lecturers and participants.”

Mrs Ligia Castro-Monge

“The Microfinance events have so far been over the years a very stimulating experience.  As a coach for CEOs of MFI’s in the field of risk management, I find the mix of different risk topics which are presented and actively discussed very interesting. This forum also gives me an opportunity to meet and network with CEO’s and risk officers from MFI’s all over the globe. I look forward to the next conference.”

Mr Guy Mertens
