ADA supports Senegalese entrepreneurs
Last November, ADA participated in the Global Entreprenership Week 2018 in Senegal, an event to boost entrepreneurship in the country. Over a week, numerous events, training courses, workshops, conferences and workshops were held throughout the country free of charge so that entrepreneurs who need support, information and advice on their activity could more easily obtain it.
ADA, in addition to supporting the event, contributed to it by organizing a workshop, Action Lab, on access to finance solutions for SMEs needing between €10,000 and €100,000 (6 to 60 million FCFA) to develop their project. The event, held at the premises of ADA's partner incubator, Jokkolabs, brought together some twenty young entrepreneurs, investors and other entrepreneurial actors in Senegal. The model presented is based on the principle of co-investment, combined with market access and the provision of technical assistance services to significantly reduce risks and limit investment costs, thus removing some obstacles to financing these companies.
Axel de Ville, ADA SME specialist, also participated in the panel of the Forum on Crowdfunding; invited among other panelists, important players at national and international level in terms of Crowdfunding, he shared his expertise.
During this particular week, ADA also met with several entrepreneurs who have launched their start-ups to hear their views and testimonies on their challenges in accessing financing, as well as on the support provided by the local partner - CTIC.
