Luxembourg's Inclusive Finance Ecosystem Strongly Represented at SAM 2025: A Collective Commitment to Vulnerable Populations

The Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe) is proud to sponsor SAM 2025, bringing together our diverse ecosystem in support of Africa's financial inclusion journey. As Philippe Guichandut, InFiNe's Interim Director, explains: "Many of our network members are deeply engaged across the African continent, and we're excited to see them actively contributing to SAM through conference presentations, training sessions, and knowledge sharing. Africa has been at the forefront of remarkable advances in financial inclusion, from pioneering digital financial solutions to innovative approaches for climate adaptation."
Luxembourg's inclusive finance sector demonstrates exceptional engagement at SAM 2025 with InFiNe coordinating this collective presence through our shared booth initiative, bringing together five co-sponsoring members alongside broader ecosystem participation.

The organization is preparing to launch the second cycle of their social finance accelerator (www.isfa.lu).
Microinsurance Network (MiN) will organize a side event, in collaboration with ADA and IBISA, on climate risk coverage for impact investors. MiN aims to contribute to discussions on how financial inclusion can serve as a powerful lever to close the protection gap, especially for vulnerable populations, and hopes to engage with regulators, policymakers, investors, and development partners who share their vision of expanding inclusive insurance. They will also participate in the panel “Insurance and Financial Inclusion – A Lever for Vulnerable Populations” organized by Grameen Credit Agricole on October 13 (12:00 – 1:15 p.m.).
Global Gender-Smart Fund (GGSF) will participate in the panel "Aligning investors' social objectives with end-clients' real needs" on October 15 (2:00 - 3:15 p.m.) and facilitate the workshop “Unlocking Potential: The Business Case for Gender and Inclusive Finance” on October 17 (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.). The organization looks forward to meeting key actors of inclusive finance in Africa and sharing their experience in driving gender equality through provision of gender-smart financing to women entrepreneurs and women-led MSMEs.
e-MFP’s Executive Secretary Christoph Pausch highlights:
"The SAM is more than a conference. Like e-MFP's annual event, it is a catalyst shaping the future of inclusive finance. e-MFP is proud to bring thought leadership to this dynamic forum, engaging with national microfinance networks across Africa, exchanging insights, and forging collaborations to drive our shared mission of advancing inclusive finance forward."
Laurence Hulin will represent InFiNe in moderating the panel "Unlocking sustainable funding for inclusive finance: what works and what needs to change" on October 14 (2:00 - 3:15 p.m.).
Additional InFiNe members will contribute significantly to SAM's program: ADA (main organizer), European Investment Bank (Silver sponsor, Investor Fair presence, conference speaker), Fondation Grameen Crédit Agricole (Bronze sponsor, 3 side events, multiple training sessions, conference speaker), LuxDev (conference speaker, side event with DFI and Luxembourg stakeholders), Uni.lu (conference speaker), and LHoFT (conference speaker, coordinating the Catapult: Inclusion Africa program, managing Innovators' Village stand space for 20 innovators, and hosting a networking cocktail).
This collective Luxembourg presence demonstrates InFiNe's mission to leverage our country's expertise for inclusive finance worldwide, ensuring vulnerable populations remain central to our innovative solutions and collaborative efforts.
