The 8th edition of the Certificate in law and regulation of inclusive finance will take place from 15 to 25 January 2024 at the University of Luxembourg. 

Exceptionally, an online webinar will be organised, open to all interested parties, to discuss the certificate and registration procedures, and to answer any questions you may have. Participants will also hear a short presentation on inclusive green finance by Professor Dirk Zetzsche, ADA Chair in Financial Law and Inclusive Finance, and Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF).

For whom is the Certificate in law and regulation of inclusive finance intended? 

Designed as a continuing legal education programme, the Certificate is aimed at regulators and intermediaries as well as civil parties active in the field of inclusive finance, including but not limited to policy-makers, regulators, supervisory institutions and employees of financial intermediaries, regional, development and central banks, private credit institutions, financial institutions, investment funds, asset managers and advisors, non-governmental organisations and civil society organisations in the field of inclusive finance. 
  
The Certificate aims to raise awareness of legal and regulatory issues in the inclusive finance sector. Examples of topics from previous years include:

  • Performance measurement and management 
  • Sustainable inclusive finance 
  • FinTech and financial inclusion 
  • RegTech and financial inclusion 
  • Microfinance 
  • Risk management 

 All interested parties can now apply until 1 September 2023

A limited number of scholarships and accommodation grants are available for participants from emerging and developing countries. Additional travel support is available for women.
