ADA has published the annual report 2021 for the SSNUP programme. In 2021, the programme approved 14 projects supporting 30 SMEs, farmer cooperatives, microfinance institutions and insurance companies in 15 developing countries.
The six-month project co-funded by SSNUP aimed to increase the quantity and quality of rice produced in Northern Senegal, thereby increasing both the revenue and the food security of the local smallholder rice farmers.
Stakeholders wishing to support farmers in developing countries often regard voluntary labels as a relatively easy and efficient way of improving smallholder farmers’ working and living conditions.
The Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) will support the Smallholder Safety Net Upscaling Programme (SSNUP) with € 900,000 over a three-year period from 2021 until 2023.
