Microfact launches a brand-new digital course on Performance Evaluation of MFIs

On 15th of July 2021, Microfact (an initiative from ADA and BRS) launches a brand-new digital course on 'Performance Evaluation of MFIs' in English, Spanish and French! The objective is to give participants a better insight into the actual financial and social situation of their institution and their position in the market of microfinance. They will learn how to fill the MFI Factsheet and interpret its results (financial and social performance).

At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:

• Understand what the MFI Factsheet is and the advantages of this tool;
• Fill the MFI Factsheet properly and interpret its results (Financial and Social Performance);
• Know the existence, definitions and interdependence of commonly used and accepted key performance indicators in the microfinance industry:
• Analyze the financial trends, position themselves within the industry (benchmarks) and identify key areas of risk to mitigate;
• Know the importance of performance monitoring as a tool for a daily management, decision‐making and business planning process;
• Know the benefits of transparency and performance assessments (ratings), namely to secure external sources of funding.
